Mental health is as important as physical health. Not talking about it is just going to increase the problem rather than decrease it.
It is a no brainer that studies CAN have an effect on your mental health.
Mental health problems in early childhood and adolescence can increase the risk of poor performance in academics, however poor academics can also result in a shaky mental health, not because someone got bad results, but because of the comparisons they have to face and for the illogical behaviour they have to face from the people around them.
High-school can be overwhelming. Because now, you don't have to only deal with studies, but also manage increased work load, get involved in clubs and groups, have a social life, all while trying to maintain a good grade for entrance in a good university.
And oh, to add to all of that the, covid 19 pandemic now, great! It takes an even greater toll on a student's mental health.
According to mentalhealthfurst.org , in 2020, around one in six U.S students aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year..
And to be honest , it is sad!
Anyways, amidst these situations, we would just like to tell you one thing, you are not alone in this. We recognise you and your problems. Take a break, be a bit easy on yourself.
